Team Rocket’s favorite troublemaker is here, and it’s hard to resist that cheeky little face. This cat has a soft cream body, dark brown ears with pink insides, the shiny golden charm on its forehead, big round eyes, and a toothy grin that looks like it’s already planning something sneaky.
Here’s what you’ll need: yarn in white, black, pink, yellow and brown, a hook that matches your yarn, some fiberfill, a few stitch markers, a tapestry needle and 3 mm crochet hook.
No fancy techniques here, just single crochet, increases, decreases, and a few color changes, so even beginners in amigurumi will feel comfortable with this one.
The work begins with the head and body, moves on to the legs and ears, then the whiskers, the charm, the eyes, and that fun tail. Once all the pieces are ready, it’s time to assemble Meowth and stitch on the mouth with the two little fangs.
This Meowth makes a great gift for any pokemon fan, or a fun first step toward crocheting the whole Team Rocket crew.

Whiskers x2
Start with light-yellow yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 ch, start from second chain from hook, do 5 sl st, continue do 6 ch, start from second chain from hook, do 5 sl st
Cut and leave a long yarn to sew to the head on row 14-116 with 1 stitch apart from the eye.
Antenna x2
Start with light-yellow yarn.

Eyes x2
Start with white yarn.
Rnd 1: sc, 2 hdc, 4 sc in a Mr (7)
Cut and weave in all ends. Use 1 ply of black yarn to sew the eyes. Glue eye on head at row 14-16 with 2 stitches apart from each eye.
Coin
Start with yellow yarn.

Hands x2
Start with light-yellow yarn.

Tail
Start with brown yarn.

Cut and leave a long yarn to sew the brown part of the tail when roll up.
Change to light yellow yarn.

Stuff lightly. Cut and leave a long yarn to sew to center of back body on row 10-11.
Assembly
- Sew the hand to the body on row 10-11.
- Sew the ear to the head on row 17-19.
- Sew the coin to center of the head on row 17.
- Sew the antenna on the head at row 18 at the left/right side of the coin.
- Glue eye on head at row 14-16 with 2 stitches apart.
- Sew the left/right whisker on row 14-16 with 1 stitch apart from the eye.
- Use 1 ply of black yarn to sew a “W” mouth on head at row 13.
- Use white felts to cut a triangle and glue it on row 12 of the head with 3 stitches apart from each other.
- Sew the tail on the back of the body at row 6-7.
