This free Grogu amigurumi pattern is inspired by the little green hero from The Mandalorian. If you’re a Star Wars fan and love crocheting amigurumis, you will enjoy making your own Grogu.
Stitches used in this tutorial are single crochet stitches, double crochet stitches, triple crochet stitches, half double crochet stitches, bobble stitches, and some crochet techniques like increasing and decreasing.
This Grogu is worked in one piece by making the body and head, then making ears, then sewing them to the head part, so it will take no time to finish.
You can use it as a playful accent or give it as a thoughtful, handmade gift for Star Wars fans.
Materials
- Size 6 yarn in brown, beige and green.
- 5 mm crochet hook
- 14 mm safety eyes
- Polyester fiberfill
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle

ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
inc – increase
dec – decrease
FLO – front loop only
BLO – back loop only

Rnd 5-7: 24 sc (24) (3 rounds)
Change the color to beige.
Rnd 8a: FLO: 24 sc (24)
Change the color to brown.

Rnd 10: 7 sc, change color to green and BOB, change color to brown and 7 sc, change color to green and BOB, change color to brown and 8 sc (24)

Place the eyes between rounds 6 and 7, 3-4 visible stitches apart. Stuff but don’t overstuff the bottom.

Fasten off and pull tight to close the hole and weave in the end.

Starting in green:
Ch 6. Start from 2nd chain from hook, 2 sc, hdc, dc, tr
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Assembly
Sew the ears between rounds 4 and 6, 3 visible stitches from the eyes.
