Crochet an adorable baby pug dog with this free amigurumi pattern. Baby pugs are so quick and easy to make, it’s featuring a rounded body, small ears, and a short snout.
This amigurumi pug’s body is crocheted from top to bottom, with two brown bobble stitches for the snout, and another 4 bobbles for the arms and feet. The ears and tongue are crocheted separately and sewn in place.
Materials needed are chenille yarn size 4 in beige, pink, and brown shades, a 5 mm crochet hook, a tapestry needle, stitch markers, and scissors.
You can add it as a decorative detail to gift boxes or packaging, incorporate it into nature-inspired or animal-themed displays, or use it as a keychain.

- Black cotton/acrylic yarn

Pug
Start with beige yarn.
Rnd 1: 8 sc in a Mr (8)
Rnd 2: 8 inc (16)
Rnd 3: (1 sc, 1 inc) x 8 (24)
Rnd 4-5: 24 sc (24)
Rnd 6: 11 sc, color change to brown 2 BO, 11 sc (24)
You can cut brown yarn.
Rnd 7: 24 sc (24)
Rnd 8: 7 sc, BO, 9 sc, BO, 6 sc (24)
Place safety eyes between R5-6, near the BO (3 visible sts apart)
Rnd 9-10: 24 sc (24)
Rnd 11: sc, ch 4, starting from the 2nd ch from the hook make 3 sc, in the next sts make 8 sc, BO, 5 sc, BO, 7 sc (24)
Rnd 12: (1 sc, 1 dec) x 8 (16)
Rnd 13: 8 dec (8)
Cut yarn and sew closed.
Ears x2
Use brown yarn.
Insert the hook between R2-3 and ch 2 (1)
make 2 hdc in the next st (2)
sl st in the next st (3)
Now repeat the process for the right ear starting between R4-5. Cut yarn and weave in the neds.

Tongue
Use pink yarn.
Slip knot and ch 2, starting from the 2nd ch from the hook make a sc.
Cut yarn leaving a tail for sewing.

Assembly
- Sew the tongue between the 2 BOsts.
- Using black cotton/acrylic yarn sew the nose between R5-6, just between the 2 BOsts (1 st wide)
