Carry a little handmade charm wherever you go with this adorable crochet pigeon keychain with a slice of bread. Designed with a rounded body, tiny wings, and a sweet beak.

Materials needed are DK cotton in slate, silver grey, coral, teal, purple, ecru, caramel, black, and cream shades, a 2.5 mm crochet hook, 6 mm safety eyes, stuffing, scissors, tapestry needle, keychain accessories, and stitch markers.

Rnd 6: 1 sc in each st (30)

Change to teal and then purple to create the feather pattern. Cut slate.

Change to silver grey. Cut teal and purple.

Place safety eyes between rounds 10 and 11, 8 stitches apart.

With coral, embroider the cheeks below the eyes, Make 2 horizontal lines between rounds 11 and 12, 1 stitch wide.

With black, embroider the beak centered with eyes. Make 3 horizontal lines between rounds 10 and 11, 2 stitches wide. Then embroider an additional line in cream above the beak.

Next row, you’ll make the wings. The wings should be placed on each side of the body.

How to make bread slices

Bread Crust

Start in caramel yarn.

Place the bread slices together, wrong sides facing each other and work the next round throught both pieces to join them. Start by marking a slipknot on your hook.
