Add a touch of greenery to your crochet collection with this charming cactus amigurumi. It makes a lovely gift, home décor piece, or a cozy touch for any room.
Materials needed are super bulky yarn, a 2.5 & 4 mm crochet hooks, stuffing, a sewing needle, and a stitch marker. It’s worked in continuous rounds, with the arms and flowers sewn on to finish.
The body of the pattern is made in one piece, starting with a plant pot, continuing with the cactus short arms, cactus part, then making the flower and attaching it to the top of the cactus.
This little crochet cactus is the perfect size for displaying on a shelf or desk and would make a lovely gift for a cactus lover or for those of us who are plant-challenged, or add to plant-themed, boho, or minimalist décor arrangements.
Materials
- Super Bulke G-Himalaya Dolphin Baby yarn or analogue (100 g/ 120 m) in colors:
- Alize Cotton Gold (#649), Himalaya Dolphin Baby (#80359, #80336, #80365)
- 4.0 mm crochet hook (for cactus) and 2.5 mm crochet hook (for flowers)
- Thin long needle 8-10 cm and strong cotton thread
- Stitch markers
- Scissors
- Fiberfill

Rnd 1: 6 sc in a Mr (6)
Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)

Color change to dark brown.
Leave the beige working thread on the outside, you will continue crocheting with it later.

Stuff with fiberfill.
Rnd 16: 10 dec (10)

Tighten the hole. Hide the thread inside the pot.
In dark beige yarn.
Rnd 13: ch 2. 36 hdc in FLO (36)
Fasten off.
Cactus Short Arm
In green yarn.
Ch 1 and turn at the end of each row.
Rnd 1: ch 13, 12 sc from the second loop from the hook (12)
Rnd 2-3: BLO: 12 sc (12) (2 rows)
Join row 1 and row 3 together (through the chains of row 1 and the front loops of row 3)
Rnd 4: 7 sl st, skip 1 sts, 1 sl st, skip 1 sts, 2 sl st
Tie off and leave a tail for sewing.
Stuff with fiberfill during crocheting the last row.
Cactus Long Arm
In green yarn.
Ch 1 and turn at the end of each row.
Rnd 1: ch 17, 16 sc from the second loop from the hook (16)
Rnd 2-4: BLO: 16 sc (16) (3 rows)
Join row 1 and row 4 together (through the chains of row 1 and the front loops of row 4)
Rnd 5: 9 sl st, (skip 1 sts, 1 sl st) x 3, 1 sl st
Tie off and leave a tail for sewing.
Flowers x3
In red cotton/ acrylic yarn and 2,5 mm crochet hook.
Ch 2, 1 sl st to the second loop from the hook (1)
(Ch 5, 3 hdc to the second loop from the hook, 2 hdc, 1 sc, 1 sl st at the base of the flower) x 3
Fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing.
Crochet the last sl st of the third petal under the first petal to tighten the hole that has formed in the center of the flower.
Cactus
In green yarn.
Ch 1 and turn at the end of each row.
Rnd 1: ch 25, 24 sc from the second loop from the hook 924)
Rnd 2-13: BLO: 24 sc (24) (12 rows)
Join row 1 and row 13 together by sl st together along the chains of row 1 and the front loops of row 13 to make a long tube. Tie off, leaving a long tail for sewing the cactus to the pot.
Cut a separate length of any color cotton/acrylic yarn. With your needle, weave the yarn back and forth through the top of the fabric around the entire circumference of the opening. When you’ve woven the yarn all the way around, pull on the ends to close the top tightly. Tie a couple of tight knots to secure.
Turn your tube inside out. Stuff with fiberfill.
Place the cactus in the middle of the pot. Sew around the base using the green yarn tail. Sew the arms on the sides. Sew one flower to the top of the cactus and the others to the tops of the arms.
