You do the increases around in the decrease stitches from round 8, and then you do the chain in the last stitch of round 9

You are back up to 24 stitches in Round 9. Then you CH5 and then SC back down the chain with 4 sc and then place a SC in the base where you started the chain. This makes a finger-like extension. Then you SC 24….that takes you all the way around back to this chain. Is this supposed to be part of the head? I do not “see” this in the picture of the finished product. Much help is needed.
