This adorable mini otter is a cute mini doll that can be easily worked up. It’s worked in continuous rounds, and no need for sewing techniques.

This pattern is designed with super bulky chenille yarn with beige and brown shades, which is perfect for a soft and cuddly toy, a 4.5 mm crochet hook, 8 mm safety eyes, yarn needle, fiberfill, and black cotton yarn for embroidery.

To finish this pattern, all you need to know is how to make single crochet stitches, half double crochet stitches, double crochet stitches, bobble stitch, and some techniques like increasing and decreasing.

bobble stitch – to make a bo with 6 loops on the hook, do 5 unfinished dc (don’t pull the yarn through the last two loops on the hook) in one st until you have 6 loops on the hook. Then pull your yarn through all 6 loops.

Body

Start with beige size 6 chenille yarn

Rnd 1: 6 sc in Mr (6)
Rnd 2: inc around (12)

We are making the [Ears] in round 3

Rnd 3: (sc, inc) x 2, [ch 3, sl st into your initial st], (sc, inc) x 3, [ch 3, sl st into your initial st], sc, inc (18)
Rnd 4: 6 sc, skip ear, 9 sc, skip ear, 3 sc (18)
Rnd 5: sc around (18)

Color change to brown.

If your tension is tighter or loser you might to adjust the bo on rounds 6,7 and 8 a bit so that they line up with the ears to create little arms and legs.

Rnd 6: 4 sc, bo, 11 sc, bo, sc (18)
Rnd 7: 17 sc, bo (18)

Place your safety eyes between round 5 and 6, three sts apart. Stretch the Mr a bit. The top should be round and flat.

Rnd 8: 4 sc, bo, 13 sc (18)

Stuff your otter firmly.

FO. Sew the hole closed. Weave in the ends. Embroider the nose with black cotton yarn.
