This is a free pattern for a daffodil flower, designed by the author Emmi Hai.
There is always a good mood when you see flowers, no matter where they grow, in a field, in a flower bed or in a vase. When the house is full of flowers, it is always cozy and beautiful, but what to do when they wilt quickly?! For this we present this wonderful, easy to make crocheted daffodil.
You can make one for a small laconic vase, or you can create a large bouquet of several daffodils. These will look great in the hallway or in the living room. A unique handmade piece and a wonderful gift for those who want to keep the beauty of flowers at home without worrying about watering them.
For this pattern, you will need a crochet hook 2.5 mm thick, sport yarn in green, light yellow and yellow-brown colors, a thin wooden stick, a drinking straw, wire or something similar to stabilize the stem.

Stem
Start with the stem in green:
Magic ring with 6 sc, work sc in rounds until the stem has a length of approx. 23 cm. Stabilize the stem by inserting e.g. a stick. Next rnd dc in next 3 sc, sl st in next 3 sc; last rnd sc in next 3 dc, sc around next 3 sl st.
Calyx
Rnd 1: ch 2, (2 sc in next sc) x 6, sl st in initial dc (12)
Rnd 2: ch 2, FPdc around next 12 sc. sl st in initial FPdc
Rnd 3: ch 2. FPdc around next 12 FPdc. sl st in initial FPdc, fasten off.
Change to light yellow, attach yarn to any back loop of rnd 1 inside:
(ch 11, {start in second ch from hook} sl st in next 10 ch) x 3, sl st in same stitch where you attached the yarn, fasten off.
Change to yellow, start in any FPdc of rnd 3, make first sttich a standing stitch and work in rounds:
