Materials needed to make this tutorial are #6 bulky yarn of your choice, a 4 mm crochet hook, 12 mm safety eyes, 11 mm safety nose, a small amount of black worsted-weight yarn, keychain hardware, and stuffing.

This tutorial is a no-sew pattern, it works in one piece and takes no time to finish, and it also includes how to switch between the accent color and main color.

Materials

  • #6 Bulky yarn of your choice (Parfait Chunly) – main color and accent color
  • 4 mm crochet hook
  • 10 mm and 12 mm safety eyes
  • 11 mm safety nose
  • Small amount of black worsted-weight yarn for face details

ch – chains
sc – single crochet
inc – increase
dec – decrease
sl st – slip stitch

BO – bobble stitch (5 loops on hook)
rept – repeat
FLO – front loops only

Notes

  • Accent color will be in Bold and the main color will be written normal
  • In this pattern you will be making color changes. You will do this by ending the last stitch with the next color, note that the bobble stitches are also in accent color.

Body

Start with accent color.

Rnd 1: 8 sc in Mr (8)
Rnd 2: inc, inc x 2, (1 sc, 1 sc) in the next st, (1 sc, 1 sc) in the next st, inc x2, inc (16 sc)

How to make round 2

Rnd 3: 3 sc, inc, 3 sc, inc, 1 sc, 2 sc, inc, 2 sc, 1 sc, inc (20)
Rnd 4: 3 sc, 4 sc, EAR (FLO sc, ch 2, FLO sc) in the same st, 5 sc, rept EAR, 6 sc (20)

Place stitch markers in the back loops of rnd 4 so the are easier to find for the next rnd.

Rnd 5: 7 sc, (push ear firward)
BLO 1 sc, 5 sc, (push ear forward)
BLO 1 sc, 4 sc, BO, 1 sc (20)
Rnd 6: 2 sc, BO, 17 sc (20)

Secure eyes between rnd 2 and rnd 3 in line with the ears. Use black worsted weight yarn to do the nose (or secure an 11 mm safety nose in the center if the Mr) and embroider the whiskers details.

Rnd 9: 19 sc, BO (20)
Rnd 10: 3 sc, BO, 8 sc, TAIL (ch 5, 4 sl st, sl st in the base of the sc st, does not count as a stitch), 8 sc (cut accent color now) (20)

Stuff the body.

Rnd 12: dec x 8 (8)

Fasten off, leave yarn to close.

Add more stuffing if needed and close, hide the tail inside of the body.

Add keychain hardware (suggested to insert between rnd 6 and rnd 7).
