Materials

  • Yarn (cotton + acrylic): red, white
  • 2 mm crochet hook
  • Needle
  • Glue

House

Red yarn.

Make a chain of 16 chain stitches. Start in 2nd loop from hook. Back-and-forth rows. Each row starts in 3rd loop from the hook.

First chain count like 1 stitch.

Row 15: 1 ch, 1 dec, 9 sc, 1 dec, 1 sc (13)
Row 16: 1 ch, 12 sc (13)
Row 17: 1 ch, 1 dec, 7 sc, 1 dec, 1 sc (11)
Row 18: 1 ch, 10 sc (11)
Row 19: 1 ch, 1 dec, 5 sc, 1 dec, 1 sc (9)
Row 20: 1 ch, 8 sc (9)
Row 21: 1 ch, 1 dec, 3 sc, 1 dec, 1 sc (7)
Row 22: 1 ch, 6 sc (7)

Cut the yarn. Crochet second piece in the same way steam with an iron to flatten and even out the piece. (pic 1)

House

Door

White yarn.

Make a chain of 11 chain stitches. Start in 2nd loop from hool. Back-and-forth rows. Each row starts in 3rd loop from the hook. First chain count like 1 stitch.

Row 1: 10 sc (10)
Row 2-3: 1 ch, 9 sc (10)

Cut the yarn, leave a long end.

Take one piece of the house and sew a door on the side.

Embroider three windows. One window is 2×2 stitches.

House doors

Place the two house pieces together. Attach the red yarn and crochet around the piece using slip stitches, grabbing both pieces. Note the you need to crochet along the side of the back piece (the one without window and a door)

Roof

White yarn.

Make a chain of 30 chain stitches. Start in 2nd loop form hook. Back-and-forth rows. Each row starts in 3rd loop from the hook.

First chain count like 1 stitch.

Row 1: 29 sc (29)
Row 2: 1 ch, 28 sc (29)

Cut the yarn.

Sew or glue the roof to the side of the house.
