dc-dec:

1. Make 1 unfunished dc (leaving 2 loops on the hook)

Body

Carry the yarn along and work over it for smoother color changes. Chains at the beginning of the rows do not count toward the total stitch count.

Insert safety eyes into the front piece of the body, between R13 and R14, approximately 3 stitch holes apart. Use red yarn to embroider 2 blushes under the eyes.

With cream yarn, assemble the 2 pieces of body together with sc around the edges. Make 1 sc adjacent to a sc, and make 2 sc adjacent to a hdc or dc. Stuff as you go. FO invisibly.

Tail

At the base of the shrimp body, locate 2 stitches, attach orange yarn with a ch to the first stitch, 7 ch, beginning in the 3rd ch from the hook, dc, dc, hdc, hdc, sc.

Sl st into the next stich on the shrimp’s body, 7 ch, beginning in the 3rd ch from the hook, dc, dc, hdc, hdc, sc,, sl st into the same stitch where the ch started. FO.

This tutorial has 2 parts, The first one is how to make the body and change between colors, and the second part is how to make the tail and some assembly and details steps.

Fasten off leaving a long tail.

Assembly

• Sew the tails at the end of the body.
• Place the eyes in rnd 6, leaving approx 10 stitches between them.
• Embroider the blushes just below the eyes.
• Bend your shrimp to give the final shape.
