Body

Using yellow yarn.

Rnd 1: 8 sc in MR (8)
Rnd 2: inc x 8 (16)
Rnd 3: (7 sc, inc) x 2 (18)
Rnd 4: sc around (18)
Rnd 5: 4 sc, arm, 9 sc, arm, 5 sc (18)

Arm: chain 2, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st back into back into original stitch

Rnd 6: sc around (18)

Change to orange yarn for the bobbles in the next round.

Rnd 7: 6 sc, MBO, 3 sc, MBO, 7 sc (18)

The mini bobble stitches (MBO) are made with 3 unfinished double crochets. There should be 4 loops on the hook before pulling through.

Add safety eyes between rounds 4-5 with approximately 4 stitches apart.

Rnd 8: dec x 9 (9)

Stuff body.

Rnd 9: make 1 more decrease, do not finish round (8)

Slip stitch in the next stitch and fasten off. Sew hole closed.

Mouth

Using orange yarn and a tapestry needle, embroider a mouth between rounds 4-5 between the eyes.

Place your chic in the bottom of the egg and put the top of the shell on. Is the egg closing completely or is there a gap? Due to different yarns you may need to add one more round of single crochets.
